Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Xbox DLC Content for PC mod

Someone suggested I make a Mod page for the DLC addons rather than keeping them as a loose file to get lost in the Files section for Battlefront 2.

On December 19, 2005, LucasArts released the first of two downloadable packages for the Xbox version of Battlefront II. The free content added the Hero Assault mode to Kashyyyk. Another Xbox Live download was made available on January 31, 2006, which added two new hero characters, Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress, as well as four remade maps from the original Star Wars: Battlefront; Yavin 4: Arena, Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var Harbor and Rhen Var Citadel. In addition, Hero Assault modes were also added to Coruscant, Mygeeto, and Naboo. It sold for USD $4.99. The downloadable content was no longer officially available as the original Xbox Live servers were shut down on April 15, 2010, until it was added back to the backwards compatible version of Star Wars Battlefront II for the Xbox One for free.

Luckily, the official DLC Heroes had been given to modders by former Pandemic Staff however, there were complications as the Xbox Live update brought in increased limitations allowing for them to load in the new heroes, without those increased limits the Heroes are never going to work correctly - luckily users on Gametoast had previously modified the heroes to work on PC, modifying them to fit within PC limitations. In 2024 a animator known as Ryan Hank also solved a mysterious issue that prevented the DLC heroes from loading together or on Hero Assault allowing this mod to become the absolute closest thing possible to the original DLC for PC users.

In 2020 a user known as SleepKiller created a tool to directly port across the maps and files from the Xbox DLC and shortly after iamashaymin fixed up a new Core.lvl and Mission Scripts for the maps as well as introducing the fixed heroes for PC, this evolved into an accurate recreation project for the DLC with additional support for the PC platform such as texture pack/skin pack support, compatibility with HarrisonFog's Remaster Project and other optional files like loadscreen support and bug fixes.
