They really have dropped a lot. Check out what I paid for a 120GB SSD in 2011. $312!

Back in the late '90s I paid over $300 for a 6GB HDD. The guy I worked with that was teaching me how to build PC's told me that was overkill
In the late 80’s I paid $350 for a 49 MB seagate SCSI drive for my Amiga 500.

Have had 3 Samsung TVs and they’ve been outstanding. Will buy another when the time comes. Wish I needed one now, these are good deals.
They are indeed great TVs... except...

They are incredibly chatty on the network and will download ads 24 hours a day, whether they are on or off. It is something to behold, actually (the amount of network traffic they generate). My Samsung TV gets to access my Wi-Fi only when I need to update it. Otherwise, it is sitting in the corner off the network and I use Apple TV device to stream stuff on it.

BTW if you do use Apple TV device to stream to a Samsung TV, do use the built-in Apple TV color calibration (it will require your iPhone too) as the TV is not really very color precise by default.
