Here's how you can secure a higher salary in customer service.
Secure a higher salary with a simple negotiation strategy. Here’s how: 1. Ask “what does it take to be successful here”. Listen deeply and use their points to craft your strengths. 2. Be pleasantly persistent on negotiating non-financial terms. Do this with a smile, show passion and excitement for the impact you’re going to have in this role. Be so delightful they need to have you. 3. Let them share their numbers first. When they do, neither say yes or no, just keep reiterating your value, enthusiasm, and how you want to reach a “fair” amount. Pause. Let them reply, and enjoy an increased offer! Still unhappy with the amount? Provide a range where the low is your goal and repeat steps 2-3.
