Apple’s got nothing on Motorola   (I’d say if they had listened 17+ years ago)   But we were told “Nobody would ever buy it.”   Circa 2007 I was the Sr Director Information Technology at Motorola Wireless.   I was responsible for all the information technology. → Think eCRM → Sales Systems (SalesForce) → Database Marketing And more… We were selling phones to wireless companies (B2B). This is when I stumbled upon a prototype design that was sleek and easy to hold. Better than Apple’s. Only that Apple hadn’t introduced that design yet. The president and CEO said “No one would buy it.” And a few years later, Apple launched one like that and the rest is history. Maybe we could have insisted But we didnt. All I knew was that my sixth sense was born out of my understanding of human psychology. While I let that incident fade in the background I knew I had to  → Start listening to my sixth sense → Trust my knowledge about consumer psychology → Respect my experience with technology All it took was Apple’s win to make me see right through it. This article makes me think companies will invest in software automation to meet this new trend of what the new (Likely generational) workforce is expecting. Legacy processes and systems require a hustle mindset to bridge the efficiency gap... if the plan is to pivot to "Happiness, work-life and fulfillment" in a demanding role... the only way will be through software & automation imo.
