AI agents are having a moment, aren’t they? Everywhere you turn, someone’s either freaking out about being replaced or preaching about how robots are about to save the world. But here's the problem, no one has actually used one yet. It's just a widely-used tech Proof-Of-Concept.

Companies are using 'Humans in the loop' to complete the AI agent jobs because the output of the agent is premature and like any other hype, we all really want to believe that this is the future while ignoring completely the presence. (Very techie thing to do).

And you? Probably just trying to figure out how to make these things do something useful without turning your life into a sci-fi horror movie. Let’s clear the air: AI agents are not here to replace anyone. They’re more like that friend who knows how to work Excel macros and swoops in to save your day five minutes before a deadline. Handy. Not threatening.

First Things First: AI Agents Can’t Steal Jobs This whole "robots are coming for us" narrative is exhausting. AI agents aren’t out here to steal your job and become Employee of the Month. They're built to handle tasks, not replace the human brain. To explain this in detail, we have to look reality into the eyes.

To automate a 'profession' you need to automate skills first and then to have a central brain that controls those skills in the right context. This is impossible because of how the world works, everyone 'do' things differently, because they've been trained differently or because they have a different belief system. That means that the idea of a central AI system that can do anything is wrong by design (sorry, AGI is wrong to IMHO), and we need to focus on automating skills and help people achieve goals faster - not to put them in a race VS a machine.

You’re the captain of your ship, and they’re the crew—polishing the deck, hoisting sails, and making sure you don’t accidentally crash into an iceberg. They make things faster, easier, less tedious. Need to analyze 500 customer reviews to find patterns? AI can chew through that data like a Golden Retriever with a tennis ball. But the final call, the creative twist, the human connection? That’s all you. AI agents don’t have the vibes. Only you do.
