If you want to avoid your Pals getting sick easily, building a Hot Spring is the answer. Here’s how to build and use a Hot Spring in Palworld.

While your Pals may seem happy whenever they get a task done for you, it goes without saying that these creatures aren’t machines. As a living being in Palworld, they can get burnt out and suffer from a bunch of illnesses when their needs aren’t met.

If this continues in the game, their sanity bar (SAN) will plummet, leaving them to slack off and refuse to do any work. One way to get this bar to fill up again is by building a Hot Spring. After all, your Pals need a break, too, and enjoying a relaxing bath after a long day of work is precisely that.

Fortunately, the Hot Spring is relatively easy to build, given that it’s one of the things you can unlock quite early in the game. This guide will walk you through how to build and use a Hot Spring in Palworld.

The Hot Spring can be unlocked upon reaching level 9 by spending 2 Technology Points in the Technology tab. Once unlocked, you’ll need to gather these materials to build it:

  • 10 Wood
  • 15 Stone
  • 10 Paldium Fragment
  • 10 Pal Fluids

Getting Wood and Stone is pretty straightforward, as you’ll usually find lots of them regardless of where you are. Meanwhile, gathering Paldium Fragment requires you to keep your eyes open for blue ore nodes scattered throughout the map. As for Pal Fluids, you’ll want to look into certain Pals that can help you farm this easily.

When all materials have been gathered, you can build the Hot Spring by selecting it in Build Mode and placing it anywhere in your base.

How to use the Hot Spring in Palworld

You cannot interact with the Hot Spring in the game, but your Pals will automatically use it when they want to or during their break.

In the early game, you can build the basic Hot Spring, which is usually enough for two small Pals and one large Pal alone. With that in mind, building more than one is recommended just so other Pals won’t have to queue when they want to take their bath.

Later on, you’ll be able to build the High-Quality Hot Spring at level 31, which almost looks like a mini island with palm trees around it – albeit with more advanced materials.
