July 4th TV sales still available

Samsung/CNET

A record-low price for Samsung's TU690T 65-inch model that comes with the TV maker's Crystal 4K processor. This is as cheap as we've seen it, and it's only available at this price via Walmart.

Insignia/CNET

A limited-time deal at Amazon brings this 65-inch Fire TV from Insignia down to its lowest ever price at the retailer. That 33% discount knocks it down to just under the $300 mark. That's a pretty great deal for a TV with an LED 4K display and an Alexa voice remote.

LG/CNET

A huge $700 discount has dropped LG's entry-level OLED to a much more affordable price. With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support and a 120Hz refresh rate, you can expect top picture quality.

Toshiba/CNET

A limited-time flash deal knocks this stunning Toshiba model down to its lowest ever price at the retailer. That's a 31% discount, which equates to $200 in savings for this huge 75-inch Fire TV with Alexa voice remote and access to all the latest streaming services.

Should I buy a TV after July 4th?

Deals on TVs crop up throughout the year, but July 4th tends to bring some of the biggest discounts outside of Black Friday. Last year's models are likely to see some seriously steep savings, and we also expect deals on 2024 models now that they've been on the market for a little while. But if you missed out on buying a TV this Independence Day, you'll still be able to find some last-minute deals. And if they don't meet your expectations, Amazon Prime Day is around the corner, which will also offer great TV deals.

How we choose the best July 4th TV deals

Many of us here at CNET have covered shopping events for well over five years, including Black FridayPrime DayMemorial Day and countless other sales. In that time, we've learned how to spot the best deals among a sea of thousands of superficial offers and scams, and we only surface the best offers from trusted retailers.

We look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining sale time when choosing smart home deals to show you. We have a team of devoted experts who have tested hundreds of TVs to make sure we're only bringing you the best of the best.

  • Real discounts mean exactly that. We check pricing history for products on sale so we know when it's a case of an inflated manufacturer-suggested price rather than a genuine saving.
  • Quality reviews and testing are super important for any product, and especially so when it comes to the devices used in your personal spaces. A discount isn't worthwhile if it results in a subpar product experience, no matter how much you saved.
  • Remaining sale time is a huge part of our vetting process. Some deals are only around for a short time or may be limited in supply. If that's the case, we'll let you know upfront so you don't come back to the deal later only to be disappointed.
