The Pokemon Go Dialga/Palkia Special Research requires catching species from the Sinnoh region but finding them has been a nightmare. Now, some trainers have shared some helpful tips to find them and quickly grind the quest.

Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is just around the corner for Pokemon Go players but before that, they’ll have to choose a path between the Dialga and Palkia versions, which will decide how their Sinnoh Tour journey would look like.

That said, you will have to catch a Pokemon from the Sinnoh region of Gen 4 to take your pick. But it looks like this is easier said than done, as most can’t find a single Gen 4 Mon, leaving them frustrated and clueless.

Thankfully, a few fans shared some quick tips to find some Sinnoh Pokemon in the comments section of a post by Reddit user ‘CoffayKranzen’ where the OP used the ‘This is where I’d put my trophy if I had one’ meme, indicating the said species being difficult to find in the game.

Users mentioned that the Gen 4 Mythical Darkrai is in Raids from February 15 to February 20, 2024. While some called this the “easiest way,” others who lived in rural areas or didn’t have enough people to take on the Raid weren’t too high on Darkrai.

A trainer then chipped in with a suggestion that might be better for all. “Grunts now have Sinnoh Pokemon, I got mine this way,” they wrote as another detailed all the Gen 4 grabs that are available from the Team Rocket Grunts in Pokemon Go:

“Starly from Flying, Croagunk from Poison, Turtwig from Grass, Chimchar from Fire, Drifloon from Ghost, Cranidos and Shieldon from Rock, Gible from Dragon, Piplup from Female Water, Snover from Ice and Stunky from Dark.”

Additionally, a few reminded trainers that collecting the Roserade encounter from the Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge would also count, as well as using Incense, which led to encounters like Snover, Gabite, and Bidoof among others.
