Pokemon Go players beg Niantic to overhaul “trash” Egg hatches

Several Pokemon Go have called out devs Niantic for the “incredibly stupid” Egg pool as most hatches have little to no use in PvP or PvE battles and the good ones are extremely rare.

Eggs in Pokemon Go help players hatch some of the best Pokemon in the game while also having a higher chance at good stats, making them an asset for PvE and PvP battles.

They come in different colors, based on how much you need to walk to hatch them, and the more the distance, the better the Pokemon tend to be in the meta.

That said, fans have increasingly become frustrated with the kind of hatches, and they took to the comments section of a Reddit post by user ‘darthsnick’ who wrote, “Does anyone still do this! Pretty disappointed!” referring to the 12 underwhelming hatches they got from 12k Eggs.

Right off the bat, a user commented: “I have yet to hatch anything of note from an egg, no 4 stars, no shinies, no rare hatches, and no female Salandit.”

Another mentioned that they hadn’t played Pokemon Go for years and even then, the current Egg pool is more or less the same. To this, a user replied that “within 2 or 3 years [Niantic] added like 2 mons in the 12km Eggs.”

It appears that the community isn’t particularly high on 12km Eggs, as one put it: “12km eggs are disgustingly bad. Actually, all eggs are trash except for maybe 10km eggs. Niantic needs to do a complete overhaul or add actually rare mons into the pool.”

10km Eggs are arguably the most popular lot but fans claim that they’re sick of the repeated Tyrunt and Amaura hatches, and begged for an increased chance to get Frigibax.

As more trainers highlighted “how incredibly stupid it is” to grind Eggs that seem to have no value anymore, players hope to see an updated Egg pool after a disappointing Timeless Travels season.
