Pokemon Go has set the stage for a jam-packed February with loads of events every week, new Pokemon, upcoming features, and much more! Trainers are now ready to enjoy the Carnival of Love event, themed around Valentine’s Day.

While this is the best time to get the Heart Trim for Furfrou, there’s a lot more to the exciting event. So, here’s all you need to know about the Carnival of Love 2024 event in Pokemon Go, including shiny debuts, bonuses, Research, and more.

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 event dates

The Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 event will run until Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 8 PM local time.

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 Heart Trim Furfrou

You can change their Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou during the Carnival of Love 2024 event in Pokemon Go. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Look for a Furfrou in your Pokomon Storage, or catch a new one during the event, and check its summary.
  2. Tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available trims.
  3. Select the Heart Trim.
  4. Spend 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust to apply the change.

Keep in mind that this is only possible during Valentine’s Day events in Pokemon Go, so you won’t get another chance until next year.

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 wild encounters

The following Pokemon are appearing more frequently in the wild during the Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 event, with shiny Oricorio making its official Pokemon Go debut:

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 Field & Timed Research

Pokemon Go players can now tackle different Timed and Field Research tasks during the Carnival of Love 2024 event.

Spinning PokeStops during the event will grant themed Field Research tasks that can reward you with encounters like Snubbull, Luvdisc, Furfrou, Stufful, Roselia, Spinda with a heart pattern, or Clamperl.

Additionally, for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you can access the event-exclusive Timed Research. These tasks will reward you with Stardust, XP, two Incenses, and five encounters with Spinda with a heart pattern.

Trainers must complete all tasks and claim all Timed Research rewards before Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 8 PM (local time).

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 Collection Challenge

A new Collection Challenge is available during the Carnival of Love 2024 event in Pokemon Go. Complete the quest to get a new medal, XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Roserade.

Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 event bonuses

The Pokemon Go Carnival of Love 2024 event features the following bonuses:

  • Increased chance of receiving Candy XL when walking with your buddy.
  • Two guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokemon.
  • PokeStop Showcases will be available for you to show off your biggest buddy.
