HAQQ, a Shariah-compliant blockchain ecosystem, and GoMeat, the first-ever home delivery service for meat products powered by decentralised technologies, are joining hands to offer cryptocurrency as a payment option – a globally first real use-case for customers from the Islamic world in the specialty food sector.
The strategic tie-up is aimed at supporting GoMeat’s global expansion plans, though it will be implemented in the US market in the initial phase.
GoMeat adopts HAQQ wallet for payments
The first phase of the collaboration will see integration of the HAQQ wallet with the GoMeat platform which will give merchants and consumers the option to make and receive cryptocurrency payments, including HAQQ’s native currency, Islamic Coin ($ISLM).
GoMeat currently accepts orders using its own GoMeat token ($GOMT).
“We [will help customers] to navigate the intersection of cutting-edge blockchain and strict Shariah guidelines,” Andrey Kuznetsov, co-founder of HAQQ Network, told Arabian Business.
He said HAQQ’s proprietary Shariah Oracle will serve as a digital guardian, ensuring every transaction on our platform upholds Islamic principles.
“This isn’t just technology; it’s a commitment to financial integrity and ethical conduct.”
Kuznetsov said the strategic collaboration with GoMeat is also aimed at demonstrating the power of geographical tech localisation.
This will be reflected in the new features to be added to the meat product delivery platform, which will be uniquely tailored to its customers’ cultural and regional context.
“We aim to support the global expansion of GoMeat and whether you’re in the West or the East, our services will resonate with your local needs, fostering a deeper connection within diverse communities,” Kuznetsov said.
In an earlier interview with Arabian Business, Kuznetsov revealed HAQQ’s ambitious plans to spread IslamicCoin to several key regions around the world, including the UAE, through integration of the digital currency with payment channels including Visa and Mastercard.“
IslamicCoin is set to onboard every Muslim around the world into the blockchain ecosystem,” he had said.

Empowering halal supply chains worldwide
Following the collaboration, GoMeat will develop its halal meat and food authentication and supply chain solution on HAQQ Network providing transparency and traceability empowering billions of consumers worldwide.
The blockchain-based solution will also integrate AI-driven features for user personalisation, demand forecasting for stores, and improved supply chain management.
The AI integration will be supported by HAQQ’s partner SingularityNET, a leader in decentralised AI.
The joint efforts will also lead to regional customisation of blockchain services to meet the unique demands of GoMeat’s diverse American communities in the initial phase, minimising user friction and maximising usability.
“Beyond modernising payments, we’re embracing revolutionary blockchain technology to empower our GoMeat community with greater financial freedom,” Waqas Siddiqi, co-founder of GoMeat, told Arabian Business.
Overcoming halal sector challenges
Siddiqi said the collaboration with HAQQ will also enable resolving many challenges existing in the halal meat sector.
“[For instance], as a leader in the halal sector, we’re committed to tackling the challenge of inconsistent certification standards,” he said.
The GoMeat top executive said blockchain serves as a powerful tool in the company’s mission to establish robust and transparent protocols, ensuring trust and convenience for everyone on the GoMeat platform.
Kuznetsov said the strategic tie-up with GoMeat will also ensure that inclusivity goes beyond faith.
“HAQQ isn’t just technology. It’s a bridge between tradition and innovation, a beacon of financial freedom and ethical progress,” he said.
The strategic tie-up envisages broadening of the network of stores and halal restaurants on the GoMeat app to enable the platform’s users easier access to diverse halal food options.
The partnership will also bring a series of planned enhancements, adding new features and functionalities to the GoMeat platform leveraging HAQQ’s expertise and advanced technologies to make the app more intuitive and responsive.
