Galaxy S24 Plus got accidentally listed on Walmart

Samsung will be livid that just weeks before its first ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event of 2024 kicked off, the Galaxy S24 Plus was mistakenly listed on the online retailer Walmart, revealing a ton of information surrounding the flagship. One area that caught our eye was the number of features Samsung intends to bring to this version, and they are plentiful, as you will soon find out.

Galaxy S24 Plus press images show a lackluster design, but upgraded specifications coupled with a long list of features make up for that

The Onyx Black finish of the Galaxy S24 Plus was spotted on Walmart, and even though the listing has been taken down, we managed to get a hold of the crucial information that will be a part of Samsung’s marketing material. Looking at the press images, we are not impressed with the design because, from this angle, it appears that the Korean giant has just re-purposed the Galaxy S23 Plus chassis and used the ‘Galaxy S24 Plus’ name instead.

However, it appears that Samsung diverted the majority of its resources on the specifications and features side for this model. Not only is the Galaxy S24 Plus shipping with 12GB RAM, which is the first time a ‘Plus’ variant is being treated to this much memory, but it comes with a boatload of features, including ‘Live Translate,’ ‘Generative Edit,’ ‘Nightography Zoom’ and others.

The display is also said to be slightly bigger than the Galaxy S23 Plus, which will give the Galaxy S24 Plus inherent advantages such as more screen real estate, not to mention ample space to add a bigger battery. Despite the improvements, there is no mention of on-device LLM (Large Language Models) capabilities, and neither is two-way satellite communication mentioned, suggesting that Samsung will not debut these features in the upcoming flagship series, which is somewhat disappointing.

Regardless, Samsung is rumored to have increased the initial shipments run of the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra, likely believing that these two will sell in higher numbers. Looking at the increased number of features and specifications upgrades, Samsung’s estimation may be right on the money, and with the pre-order freebies the company offers for a limited time, customers might be enticed enough to pick these up when they become available.
