PowerColor submits Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card with 10GB and 12GB memory to EEC, white Radeon RX 7800 XT cards also coming

AMD might be adding a new SKU soon.

AMD has completed its addition of more ASIC (GPUs) to the Radeon RX 7000 series, but there’s still space for another SKU. According to a filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) by PowerColor, it appears that the company is preparing to introduce a new RX 7600 XT model.

The filing contains a list of recently announced models, as well as several cards that PowerColor has not yet discussed or confirmed. Among these is the Radeon RX 7800 XT, which features a white design, including a special Sakura series, similar to what was previously released for the RX 6000 series.

More notably, there are new SKUs mentioned in the filing that have not been confirmed by either PowerColor or AMD. The Radeon RX 6750 GRE, which was the subject of discussion just a few weeks ago, now seems to be confirmed by this filing. However, it appears that the earlier rumors may not have been entirely accurate, as this card is listed with 12GB of memory, not the 10GB previously speculated for the RX 6700 non-XT model that this card was expected to replace.

When it comes to the Radeon RX 7600 XT, it’s worth noting that this card has yet to be officially announced. Interestingly, information regarding this card includes two memory configurations: either 10GB or 12GB, which surpasses the 8GB found in the RX 7600 non-XT variant.

This memory configuration raises questions about AMD’s choice of GPU architecture. One possibility is that they are using the Navi 33 with unusual 96-bit and 80-bit memory configurations, although this seems counterintuitive as it would result in lower memory bandwidth compared to the RX 7600. The Navi 33 GPU is typically limited to a 128-bit memory interface.

Alternatively, a more plausible theory would involve a heavily cut-down Navi 32 GPU that enables 192/160-bit memory options. This would align better with the memory configurations mentioned and provide a more logical explanation for the increased memory capacity.

  • PowerColor RX 7600 XT Fighter OC 12GB (RX7600XT 12G-F)
  • PowerColor RX 7600 XT Hellhound OC 10GB (RX7600XT 10G-L/OC)
  • PowerColor RX 7600 XT Fighter OC 10GB (RX7600XT 10G-F)

Indeed, if the information turns out to be accurate, it could represent an interesting development in AMD’s product lineup. The existence of a potentially new Radeon RX 7600 XT with varying memory configurations could fill a noticeable gap in the entry-level segment. This would provide consumers with more choices between the existing $269 RX 7600 and $449 RX 7700 XT models, catering to a wider range of budget and performance preferences.
