You can use My Nintendo Gold Points when purchasing Nintendo Switch digital games.

Using points

Apply Gold Points to select Nintendo Switch purchases during checkout on Nintendo eShop or the official Nintendo website (where available). *Some countries or regions are excluded.

Important Information

  • Gold Points will no longer be earned for digital purchases on Nintendo eShop after 9:30 p.m. PDT on 3/24/2025. Gold Points will no longer be earned on physical games that release after 3/24/2025. For physical games that released on or before 3/24/2025, Gold Points may still be earned by registering eligible titles within one year from the original release date of the game.
  • Gold Points can be redeemed for select digital purchases. A Nintendo Account is required to redeem Gold Points. Terms apply. The methods to redeem Gold Points may vary by country/region. Gold Points expire after 12 months on the last day of the month in which they were earned.
  • Some content may be exempt from the spending of Gold Points.
  • Gold Points can be used toward purchase of eligible Nintendo Switch digital games, DLC, Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, and Nintendo Switch Online memberships, excluding certain passes, automatic renewals for passes and Nintendo Switch Online memberships, in-game items, and virtual currency.
