OKX collaborates with Chiliz as a new validator, bolstering blockchain innovation in the sports and entertainment industry

Singapore, Apr 11, 2024: In a significant development for the sports and gaming blockchain sector, OKX, a leading web3 technology company, has been announced as the latest validator on the Chiliz Chain, the first Layer-1 EVM compatible blockchain for sports and entertainment. The addition of OKX as a validator enhances the network’s governance, security, and scalability, facilitating the development and execution of smart contracts and ensuring robust transaction verification processes.

OKX’s integration into the Chiliz ecosystem as a validator brings its extensive expertise and innovative approach from the crypto exchange domain. This partnership elevates the Chiliz Chain’s capabilities, joining forces with the newly announced validators PSG and French state-owned energy giant EDF Group, along with K League, Infstones, Ankr, Paribu, Meria, and Luganodes.

OKX’s journey with Chiliz has been marked by significant milestones, demonstrating a deep-rooted commitment to the partnership. Notably, OKX has been instrumental in enhancing the accessibility of Chiliz’s native token, CHZ, by facilitating its spot trading since March 2021. This was followed in October 2023 with OKX supporting the Chiliz (CHZ) 2.0 mainnet integration. Moreover, OKX has actively engaged with the sports community by listing various fan tokens, including those of renowned football clubs like Tottenham Hotspur FC and Manchester City, among many others.
