Its revenues are split between securities and wealth management, although as of 2024 about two-thirds of its profits come from its securities business, which includes investment banking and underwriting. It ranked fourth among global banks in investment banking fees in 2023, generating $4.4 billion. Nearly half of its fees that year came from mergers and acquisition activity.
