Ordinals debut in 2024

Bitcoin Ordinals, launched last year, got inscriptions of art and collectibles onto the Bitcoin blockchain.

The inscription process will take place and allow collectors to claim their exclusive Ordinals inscriptions later on Magic Eden. The launch carried a disclaimer that stated, “Trump Digital Trading Cards (NFTs) are intended as collectible items for individual enjoyment only, not for investment vehicles.”

The cards are explicitly stated to be non-transferrable until December 31, 2024.

Previous Trump NFTs were a hit

This development follows the success of the former president’s previous NFT ventures. The earlier series of Trump Digital Trading Cards sold out in record time.

The launch also comes amid his lead in the Republican leadership race and his recent commitment to oppose the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). During a campaign in New Hampshire, the former POTUS was quoted saying that if elected president again, he would prevent the development of a central bank digital currency.

As the 2024 election draws near, Trump’s ongoing exploration of NFTs brings new ways of engagement in the electoral race. As per the NFT Price Floor, Trump Cards collections hold the 16th position in NFT Brand ranking with an accumulated market cap of 26,576 ETH. Over the past 24 hours, three cards collectively recorded a trading volume of 66.479 ETH and achieved 366 sales as per data revealed by the platform.
