fast shipping, great condition, endless possibilities!

This is the first time that I used a Teensy - and I am very impressed with the speed. My application was an embedded control of an 320x240 LCD screen over SPI and I needed a fast update rate. I was able to update a full color screen image in about 50mS without optimization.

This unit is quick and easy to program if you are familiar with Arduino IDE (make sure to follow the install instructions carefully as only specific IDE versions are supported)

Great value for money and offers a powerful alternative to raspberry PI with arguably better hardware support when running without linux installed.

Loaded with the power of a Raspberry Pi with the finite control of an Arduino. If you want ultra control on your pins, timing, clock-cycles, robust memory, battery-friendly, etc, this board will deliver. It also has a cheap $8 Ethernet header available, so for $40, you are getting one of the most powerful Arduino 32 bit Arduino compatible boards out there that supports fixed Ethernet connection, SD card, and a Real Time Clock with almost no effort. The only downside is that there is not an easy option for remote firmware updates if you want to deploy this for IoT applications.

I needed a fast Arduino-compatible processor for an iterative solver that involved matrix manipulations and complex numbers. An Arduino Mega ran the program in 169 seconds. A Seeeduino XIAO (M0, 32-bit, 48 MHz) took 89 seconds. A Teensy 3.5 (M4, 32-bit, 120 MHz) took 14 seconds. I thought that was pretty good until the Teensy 4.1 (M7, 32-bit, 600 MHz) completed it in 0.45 seconds!

But it seems a little touchy; I had to use a very short USB cable to get it to interact consistently with the serial monitor.

If you have a need for speed, the Teensy 4.1 seems to be a winner!

Fast controller that needs a lot of soldering to be useful. Pin max amperage is a bit low too. The mentioned Ethernet port is usable with Beta software from the forums, though you will need to add several soldered on parts to make it work. Programming is generally through a modified form of the Arduino software.
